Somervale School Parent Teacher Association is a registered Charity.
Fundraising
Life at secondary school is different to primary school life. No longer is there the playground gathering of parents. No longer is the school one of the main socialising points for your 'child', and your 'child' is no longer eager to take part in the Donkey Derby!
What this means is that fund raising is harder for the secondary school PTA but not impossible. With your help, and at no additional cost to you, we can earn extra funds for free!
At Somervale School, we promote four ‘Armchair’ fundraising schemes so that you can give your support from the comfort of your home.
• Weather Lottery – Sunshine Lottery - a chance for you to win and funds raised for the school.
• Gift Aid – money from The TAXMAN!
• Web Surfing – use '
easysearch' for web searching and earn about 1p per search.
• Web Shopping – funds from the retailers you shop with online by using '
schoolfunds' or
'easyfundraising' link prior to store link. You can support all your good causes by
time sharing or allocate stores.

We also hold various events through the year for students and their families. The events change each year so watch out for leaflets and check this website.
